SGS: Devi's Eblow questions

Postby BaldingNinja » Tue Mar 12, 2019 2:44 pm

Hello,

I found myself going out of my "interest zone" and picking up Devil's Elbow yesterday. I'm glad I did, fun game! I do have a couple of questions though:

1. I was on a cattle drive as a gunslinger and a native tried rustling one of the cows I was protecting. I'm guessing that you just roll versus the native's rep on the rustling table? Just wanted to clarify this.

2. I was the gunslinger again and it said to form a posse. I rolled to see how many were in the posse and how many were robbing the bank. I got 1 (myself) and 2 robbers. Now I wasn't sure as it said the lawman would always be the leader so I added a lawman. I'm thinking this may have been wrong as it said to replace one figure with myself so I would become a "vigilante" so to speak with just me? It was just a couple test runs before I start a real campaign.

Thanks!

Scott

A followup question: If you're doing an arrest and it goes to the draw table, what happens if you kill the wanted person? No increasing D6 rep? :)

I'm sure Ed has answers for your questions, but just a thought -- you could do half-reward for dead Bounty targets.
If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?

That's what Red Dead Redemption did back in 2012 anyways, that's been my guideline and gold standard for wild west themed gaming ;)
