Seeking reviews of NUTS and the NUTS Compendium

Postby EasyEight » Sun Jul 08, 2018 10:07 pm

Hola All!

THW has another distribution channel now on Amazon, and NUTS! and the NUTS! Compendium are the first products posted there. The way Amazon works, like many SEO/SEM based sales platforms, is that more reviews mean it's more likely that people will discover it on a search. And since people trust peer reviews more than paid reviews, seeing fellow gamers post their opinions helps as well.

So please head on over and be among the first to post a review!

NUTS!: https://www.amazon.com/NUTS-4th-WW2-Combat-Rules/dp/1720910693/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1531087182&sr=8-14&keywords=nuts+ww2

NUTS! Compendium: https://www.amazon.com/NUTS-Compendium-expanded-rules-lists/dp/1721859969/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1531087182&sr=8-17&keywords=nuts+ww2

Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
John

Win a NUTS! supplement book!

If you're a NUTS! gamer, please make your feelings known on Amazon and if you're one of the first 5 reviewers on either NUTS! 4th or the NUTS! Compendium, you'll have a chance to win a PDF of a NUTS! supplement book of your choice from the NUTS! product page: http://twohourwargames.com/ww2.html

Looking forward to seeing the reviews
Cheers!

I've had the same problem when posting THW reviews on the miniatures site (can't remember the name). My wife and I post reviews on Amazon all the time, though I figured with how technology hates me, it wouldn't work this time. Luckily it did for both. The account BTW is in her name as she does a lot of buying and selling with it.

Just wondering, are the games listed under Books or Toys and Games?

Hi, in the meta description they are listed under:

1. Science Fiction & Fantasy › Gaming
2. Humor & Entertainment > Activities, Puzzles & Games > Role Playing & Fantasy
3. Humor & Entertainment > Activities, Puzzles & Games > Science Fiction & Fantasy Gaming
4. History > Military > Strategy

The search results list: Books › Science Fiction & Fantasy › Gaming

So, sort of related suggestion.

When I was researching rule sets and deciding if wanted NUTS! or not, I noticed there is almost nothing about it on youtube. I found a playthrough for an older version, but that was about it. I think some short videos with decent production value could do wonders for visibility. Maybe an intro, one about turn sequence (one of the more interesting mechanics), and a more in depth play through type video. Might take some time and money, but I think it would pay you back in the long run.

EDIT: also worth mentioning that the WWII tactical miniatures games with the biggest Youtube presence seem to be Chain of Command and Bolt Action. Both of these are interesting, but I'm not sure I would call them direct competition because the minimum force is larger (platoon). There is an increase in the popularity of games that can be played with just a few minis, and neither of these games fit that niche. Might be a great time to try to increase the visibility of your game.

Yep, on the list, a very long list, of things to do.
