No Quarter/Bataillon Commander vs. Hammer and Anvil

Could you help a newbie out? I just read No Quarter and now I found Hammer an Anvil (plus Mecha). What is the difference? Which would you recommend for 12-15mm in Mass-skirmish play?

I would like to use Infantry (with powered armor), vehicles ,and Mechs. Thanks and a happy new year.

I'd go with 5150 Battalion Commander for a combined arms play. It's owned by Rebel Minis now, but I still support it.

Thanks! I already got your material the days.

I still have a question. Which size would you choose for Heavy Gears or ProtoMechs in comparison to Striders/BattleMechs? (Their are different sizes in No Quarter and Bataillon Commander?!)

Figure size for the mechs? I've only played with the old Battletech and Rebel's stuff and not familiar with Heavy Gear and the rest.

I have not played Heavy Gear, either, but I'll still put my 2 cents in. :)

3rd picture from the top has Rebel Minis TomCat and Earth Force infantry (15mm).
Rebel Minis also has Vipers and the Ursa walkers.

I think they range from smallest to largest:
Infantry
Tom Cat
Viper
Ursa

From a few searches for "battlemech size comparison", a mech is around 5-7 inches tall when using 15mm infantry.
Heavy Gears would be about 2-4 inches tall.
