NUTS 4th Edition. HE against infantry

Postby Erbo Graf » Thu Sep 21, 2017 7:48 pm

Hi,
Please, could someone clarify the rule? HE rounds against infantry. I'm a little bit confused.
We supose a bazooka, a panzerschreck or a gun/tank firing HE at 3 infantry figures all inside the blast circle, but in different status,
figure 1 in open ground, 2 in cover and 3 prone.
How are they affected?

I've noticed that in NUTS 4th ed. it is no longer used the impact of a weapon,
So, how would affect to shoot with different HE caliber 50mm, 75mm or 105mm, or with a bazooka/panzerschreck to infantry?
No difference in the damage caused by the strength of different weapons to the infantry?
Does the same damage to shoot at infantry with a round of 50mm and/or 150mm?

Thanks in advance

How are they affected? For simplicity they are all affected the same. However, I use the Escaping Damage section (page 28).

Does the same damage to shoot at infantry with a round of 50mm and/or 150mm? Correct, I went with the Rep of the target as higher Rep guys should be taking left damage. I'm not a fan of using an Impact value as this means a Rep 3 lightweight and a Rep 5 supoerstar would have the same chance of damage. You can still use the Impact values from before.

Thanks in advance

Thank you for your clarification,

Probably I will make my own table "HE vs Infantry" with impact or DRM for different weapons with blast circle as you propose,

Let's say, a dice roll modifier (DRM) on shooting damage table

0 DRM or impact 0 for 37mm to 75mm guns, Bazooka/PIAT and Grenade.
+1 DRM or impact 1 for 76mm to 105mm and Panzerschreck
+2 DRM or impact 2 for 106mm to 150+mm
- 1 DRM Target is in Cover or prone

I appreciate any point of view

Thanks

I'd say the DV of the cover should be able to negate any damage if it's high enough (2 or over).
