Captive figure

Postby flashcove » Tue May 05, 2015 12:51 pm

I've noticed that most captive figures are painted to look as if they just stepped off a Las Vegas stage, beautifully made up, and fresh from the shower. I wanted one who looked like being a captive wasn't all tea and crumpets. Now, no wounds or bruises; I won't step over that line, but dirty. The figure was first painted in block colors, washed twice with my brown wash, dabbled with Ceramcoat Spice Brown, then another coat of my brown wash.

Yeah, it these figures are obviously designed to look more sexy than captive, hence her hair is still in a nice bundle, as opposed to frizzed out and hanging down.
Nice job on the paining, though.

Good brush work, flashcove, I think you achieved your plan very well.

Best,
Mel

Been looking for one with frizzed hair, but I don't think it exists! Thanks!
