The new Ken Burns documentary on Vietnam starts tonight on PBS at 7PM Central.

Episode 2 is tonight. Last night's episode covered a lot of territory - from 1858 to 1961. Had a lot of information if you game colonials in Asia, game WWII in SE Asia & of course the French-Indo China conflicts in the 1950s.

I was not a fan of the style. Episode 1 was the best focused on the early days through DBP. I am well read and count many Vietnam vets in my circle including ex ARVN. The one sided NVA super ghost Soldier theme and stupid and inept Americans wore me out.

Sorry off my soap box but I’ve been a champion of the Vietnam vets since the late 70s and hate the they all were dopers line. Plenty of good and bad soldiers on both sides.
