Anything non-ruleset related. Modelling, Terrain, Miniatures, Dice... If it's to do with gaming but isn't a ruleset then put it here.

Yes, I know most gamers play many genres, but if you could have only one…

Expanding on Six Gun Sound would be fun. Lots of possibilities.

My smartass answer is the Holocene epoch.
My real choices are Pulp with a focus on "Weird Adventure" and Science Fiction with a focus on near-future ultramodern technothrillers.

I chose Fantasy and Sci Fi because those are my bread and butter. If I was honest, I'd choose Post-Apocalyptic gaming.

I voted for Sci-Fi and Fantasy, because you can go anywhere from those two genre.
You can game Star Wars, Flash Gordon, Space Soldiers, dragon slaying, high adventure, etc.

Most of my gaming life, I've played fantasy based games and I won't stop now.

It's a toss up between North American conflicts pre-Revolution and world wide post-WWII.

Hi

I choose "other" and I tell you why :

1) We've got for now all the rules we want (skirmish, grand tactical, adventure etc ....).

2) We've got nearly all the periods we want.

3) One mechanic shares all the titles.

I think it could be better for everybody to "fill the gap" by small add-on.

1st example : I saw a topic about "farming the land" why not creating a small add-on for running a village and a small community who could alternate with caroussing scenarios or advance a story scene with special random events.

I was wondering why the Dwarf Young Noble SKORRAGRIM shoud stay at the Stronghold under the authority of the High King instead of creating a small kingdom somewhere in Orcs Land to be King on his own. Because he's a little bit rebel and doesn't like much authority (maybe because of his father :D )

He could first carroussing at the Stronghold, then leave with a few families and single Dwarves each with a special task to help building the village and then the beginning of a new kingdom (for example a miner could find a mining spot and then after some years the first mine level car be build as a beginning of stronghold with builders).

2nd example : I was thinking as well on generic rules about guerilla warfare as I read the Che Guevara Book "The war of Guerilla".

It helps a lot to understand Guerilla and counter insurgency tactics.

Imagine French guys being formed in the 70's by US Green Berets to bring Havock to Soviets troops who invade Europe From Norway to Spain.

Basically Starts with your Operationnal detachement Alpha, find partisans, train them and fight the Soviets for France. Can be as well use for French Resistance, Rhodesia and even Green Berets in Vietnam.

Inside it could get rules for traitors, new recruits, time to form them, Ennemy special force looking for you camp. And what about vehicles, Ammunitions. Could we repair or build it. Does your guys have equipements like ammo pouch and what if they haven't etc etc ...

3rd example : We've got rules for ww2, Why not a simple add-on for WW1 and Chaco war or for Rhodesia with FNG core rules.

Lots and lots example of how I see THW could add small titles.

"It's all about the game, That's your adventure", yes ok, but I really haven't any time to think about rules for Leading a Dwarf village or leading French Operatives against Soviets  ! Too bad! :)

See what I mean?
