pen/paper strategy on the road

Anything non-ruleset related. Modelling, Terrain, Miniatures, Dice... If it's to do with gaming but isn't a ruleset then put it here.

I've made a lot of progress on this already. I could barely sleep with all the ideas rolling around in my head. Can't wait to playtest it.

Be sure to post your ideas when you have them finished would be good to give them a try. I'm always tinkering with the rule systems to try and avoid needing lots of models and a big table to play on, as I don't really have either or the space for it, and I would prefer to use just a pad of paper and dice anyway.

I'm currently working on using 2 hour dungeon crawl with other non-THW RPGs(dont want to say which ones without Ed's permission) to get a more story based RPG, that and thinking about playing 5150 New Beginnings with the dungeon crawl rules.

I playtested the game today and just finished a first draft of the rules. A labor of love! The game is called Smartphone WWIII. It's simple, fun, and a good brain exercise all at the same time. Importantly, the player's decisions are crucial to the outcome, making it a real grognard wargame but on a scale so small that no map is needed (this required some careful thought!). The combat rules will definitely be easier for THW players to remember than non-THW players.

Would anyone be interested in critiquing my draft and/or playtesting the rules? I know it's asking a lot, but I suspect there may be some interest based on comments in this thread. There's an introductory page, 5 pages of rules with diagrams, and a sample AAR to demonstrate gameplay--8 pages in total.

Thanks, man! Since I can't attach a file to a private message, I'll just post it here. Anyone can feel free to take a look and give feedback. It got tons of tweaks over the weekend.

Wow, thanks for all the downloads. Unfortunately that version is already out of date. I'll post the current version here...sorry, I'm sure that's probably annoying! Please always feel free to ask me for the latest in case I've made more tweaks.

Could you repost the document? I get an error message when I try to download.
Thanks
