I playtested the game today and just finished a first draft of the rules. A labor of love! The game is called Smartphone WWIII. It's simple, fun, and a good brain exercise all at the same time. Importantly, the player's decisions are crucial to the outcome, making it a real grognard wargame but on a scale so small that no map is needed (this required some careful thought!). The combat rules will definitely be easier for THW players to remember than non-THW players.
Would anyone be interested in critiquing my draft and/or playtesting the rules? I know it's asking a lot, but I suspect there may be some interest based on comments in this thread. There's an introductory page, 5 pages of rules with diagrams, and a sample AAR to demonstrate gameplay--8 pages in total.
